SILENTLY
AND HOPEFULLY
Theres
a wall.
A
seemingly infinite barrier.
Oh,
how I long to see whats on the other side.
So
I try and climb, up and over the wall.
I
try to climb, until my nails have broken off,
until
I grow weary with frustration.
And
I try to climb, but to no avail.
I
am old now,
And
I know my nails will never grow back,
and
the longing and frustration
have
now been swallowed up,
by
the weariness that they created.
And
then I have this thought-
"I
am on this side of the wall,
trying
to climb over and see whats on the other side.
What
if, theres someone on the other side of the wall,
trying
to climb up and over, Just like me?
Does
that mean that I AM on the other side of the wall?"
And
the wall fell down.
Crubling
into seemingly infinite pieces.
And
I look myself, right in the eyes.
And
we, stumble over the ruins of the wall.
And
we, pass by ourselves-
SILENTLY
AND HOPEFULLY.
